SMUDGE STICK - 4"/10 cm WESTERN RED CEDAR Cedar is our protector. In our tradition it is used to help to draw negativity out of people. It also has many medicinal qualities. The branches and leaves contain the chemical thujone, a hydrocarbon, used as an herbal remedy traditionally used by Indigenous people for headaches, chronic cough, fever, gout, heart problems, menstrual regulation and rheumatism. Modern herbalists use it as an astringent, anti inflammatory, cancer treatment, antiviral, detoxifier, and as a topical treatment for skin infections. It can be used as a bath, a smudge, or a delicious tea. Store in an airtight container in a dry cupboard away from light. Will keep for many years.
