ETHICALLY SOURCED FROM TRUSTED CANADIAN FARMERS & HUNTERS*

Turtle Lodge Trading Post's feathers are primarily sourced from farmers and hunters in Canada. We go that extra mile to ensure that our feathers come from folks who treat the birds with as much kindness and respect as possible, unlike the horrible conditions suffered by many of those sourced from other countries.

Our feathers are gently steam-cleaned, smudged, offered Semah, prayers and much gratitude, then are stored with some ground White Sage to keep them protected in all ways.

* When possible. While we try our best to source our feathers from ethical, North-American and chemical-free suppliers, if the demand for feathers is more than our suppliers can provide, we may have to source some feathers from alternative suppliers.

** Please note that we also carry wrapped/beaded/decorated feathers from indigenous artists (apart from our own wrapped feathers), and we cannot guarantee their feather sources or their processing/cleaning methods.
