SEEKING TOR REPS:

As we venture out of our shell post-pandemic, we are starting to get our Turtle on the Road program up and running again. We are currently looking for folks interested in becoming TOR representatives for a few days a month. You will need to have at least some basic knowledge & experience with Indigenous ceremonial medicines, sales and working with the public. These are paid opportunities. This is an amazing opportunity to meet new people and help share these important supplies and services. If you see yourself as a TOR rep, please contact: resources@turtlelodgetradingpost.ca with the subject line: "Turtle on The Road". If you're not sure, but would like to chat about it some more please feel free to connect!

What is Turtle on the Road (TOR)?

Turtle Lodge Trading Post has been on the pow wow circuit since the late 2000's. In 2015, we were invited by the staff at the Kumik Elder's Lodge to bring our medicines and other products to the lodge. This quickly evolved into a bi-weekly (every second Wednesday) routine. Soon we were invited to do the same at the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health during their Monday culture night once a month. Thus began our Turtle on the Road (TOR) program (www.turtleontheroad.ca). TOR ran regularly at these locations up until the pandemic hit in early 2020.

**TOR has not yet resumed at Kumik or Wabano post pandemic.

If you are an organization that would benefit from this service periodically or regularly, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you!
