NOTE: SEMAH MUST BE SHIPPED TO AN ONTARIO ADDRESS OR PICKED UP.
If you have already filled out this form previously and have received a confirmation email from us, there is no need to resubmit this application. If you ARE LOGGED IN and are able to add Semah to your cart, then the portal is active on your account. Otherwise please read the following and fill out the application.
We carry Semah specifically for ceremonial purposes in accordance with the cultural practices of the Anishinaabe of Turtle Island (North America). Our Tobacco licence has been built on this premise and we must protect it. If we deny your request, please know that it is not in any way a slight against your personal or cultural practices.
If you are new to this path, please read the full write-up on our main Semah page. We also strongly encourage you to reach out to an Elder or Knowledge Keeper in your territory for teachings about how to use Semah and other sacred medicines properly. If we suspect that you are unclear about how to use Semah the way it is intended, your application may be rejected. It is your responsibility to learn about and respect this path.
After submitting your application, keep an eye out for the confirmation email. You won’t hear from us again about your application after that unless it was rejected. Your application will be reviewed before your Semah order is shipped. If your application is rejected, the Semah in your order will be refunded. You may continue to purchase any other items from us.
NOTE ABOUT YOUR ID: You will be requested to email a low resolution scan (cover the ID# to protect your privacy) of government issued ID showing your birth date to prove that you are over 19 years of age.
We reserve the right to refuse an application, or withdraw existing Semah procurement privileges if you misuse our Semah or we have reason to doubt your statements. You may apply again at any time if you feel you have additional information and just reason for your application to be accepted.

1. Are you a purchasing agent acquiring Semah on behalf of an Indigenous health, band or social organization?
If you select YES, then you do not have to provide ID. However, it must be very clear that you are an employee and the shipping and billing addresses must be to the organization. (Shipping address exceptions may be made during the Covid crisis. Contact the office ahead of time.)
2. Are you acquiring the Semah to present to an Indigenous Elder or Knowledge Keeper or as part of a work, school, or other educational activity or Indigenous cultural event?
3. If none of the above applies to you, please briefly describe how you intend to use the Semah. We can usually get a sense of your real experience with this sacred medicine within your first sentence or two.
