CEREMONIAL SEMAH ORDERS: You no longer need to order over the phone
You can now order Semah directly through our secure Shopify portal for pre-approved Semah customers. This portal offers us a greater level of security around Semah orders than ever before. NOTE that ALL Semah orders that are not made in person are required to have a pre-approved Semah account.
You must set up an account AND be pre-approved for Semah purchases otherwise the site will not allow you to add Semah to your shopping cart.
Holders of pre-approved Semah accounts are responsible for ensuring that no one else uses their account, and the Semah that you purchase here will be used for ceremonial purposes only. ADDING SEMAH TO YOUR CART IMPLIES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in immediate cancellation of your account and you may also be subject to legal charges if the CRA deems your actions are unlawful.
To qualify for a Semah account:
If we don't know who you are, you must make a written statement of intended use, provide ID that shows your age and matches your mailing address, and/or you must be an authorized purchasing agent for an eligible organization. We may also ask you for endorsement by an Elder or organization we are familiar with to ensure you are using our Semah the way it is intended. We retain the right to refuse your request for any reason.
If you have ordered Semah (Tobacco) from us in the past and we have your information on file, your accounts should already be setup with pre-approval for Semah purchases. All you need to do is reset your password to access your account. If your account is not set with these privileges and you wish to purchase Semah, please read all the information on the main Semah page, and then contact us to begin the process of setting you up.
As we are migrating from a relatively manual system, we may require you to re-submit your statement and documents. Please bear with us as we settle into this new system.
NOTE: Every order (including pre-approved) for Semah will be monitored carefully, and all previous statements and documents are being reviewed as part of the migration process. Please be patient if we ask you to reconfirm your information. This process will help protect our licencing and speed up your ordering process next time.
